Review: Garnier Nutrisse Foam in Light Blond 9

So I dyed my hair a few days ago and just thought I'd do a quick review on the hair dye that I used!

I used this dye which is a foam formula, making it easier to apply than other hair dyes as it is non-drip. This was on offer at the time, purchased from Superdrug and was about £5.00.

I bought it in Light Blond, shade 9. I have naturally blonde hair but it is a dark blonde so I tend to dye my hair every 6-8 weeks, or when I notice my roots a lot and they make me cry...(joke, sort of)

Here is my colour before:

(Awful photo, sorry guys)

You can probably see that's was a little bit browner. In fact this doesn't even show how horrible my roots were haha!

This is the colour that it came out with which I'm pretty happy with! As you can see it is quite a light blonde but hasn't really gone a horrible yellow colour which you can see with other hair dyes.

I think I way prefer this over other hair dyes that I've used and would definitely recommend it if you wanted to go a bit lighter blonde.

Positives
Great colour
Covered my darker roots up
The foam formulas really great as you don't have to worry about it dripping on clothes etc
The conditioning treatment smells great and made my hair feel softer after is was very dry after the dye!

Negatives
It's not going to massively change your colour. I'd recommend going for something really blonde if you were looking for baby blonde!

Can anyone recommend any colour saving shampoo and conditioner?

  1. This colour suits you really well.
I have two boxes of this exact hair dye in my draw, i've been hesitating because I was worried i'd look orange. Perfectly timed (for me), useful post.
